At Maker Faire Rome 2024, Ultravioletto designed an interactive experience for Eni, transforming an early 20th century gasometer into a vibrant sports-themed Energy Playground. The event, this year in its 12th edition, brought together makers, innovators, and creatives from around the world to showcase projects in fields like electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual and augmented reality, gaming, music, and education. Ultravioletto worked closely with Eni to conceive, design, and program the entire installation from scratch, including a large interactive digital floor where visitors could challenge each other to Pong game, activated by their movements. The installation featured four engaging playground areas that allowed children and adults alike to experience Eni’s brand in a playful and dynamic way. The interactive games simulated sports like basketball, skiing, and soccer, each representing Eni’s various branches, such as Versalis and Enilive. Through these immersive activities, visitors were introduced to the Eni family and its connection to sports. As a Top partner of the Italian national football competition ‘Serie A’ until 2026, Eni chose sports as the central theme to reflect its values of sharing, respect, and inclusion. Through these playful, interactive activities, visitors got to know Eni’s commitment to social cohesion, respect for rules, and care for the environment. Ultravioletto’s creative coders, designers, artists and art directors made this initiative possible, engaging people into more than 5.000 matches in 3 days.
